Warning: Cleveland Islamic Mayoral Candidate Basheer Jones is a National Security Threat (Videos)

During an interview with a terror-tied Imam, Jones admitted that he considers legislation in Ohio from the point of view of Sharia and Quranic law and not from the view of the United States constitution.

Controversial Cleveland Ohio mayoral candidate and current city councilman Basheer Jones was exposed exhorting misogynist statements in a video recently posted on social media. In the leaked video clip, the 36-year-old devout Islamic politician instructs men to rule over their women at home and disregard any potential resistance.

“I’m talking to a man,” he says in the video recording. “Where’s the man? Why aren’t we leading women? They are not our leaders. I don’t care what they say. They are not our leaders. We are their leaders, “ exclaims Jones.

Jones has claimed that the video was a few years old and that the recording has been taken of context. However, when local news stations asked him for the full video, he refused to provide them with the extended version. Furthermore, Jones, who is currently working towards his master’s degree in Islamic studies, would not offer further context to the video.

Jones has only served one term as councilman and is now running to become Cleveland’s next mayor. Seven candidates in total are running for the nonpartisan mayoral primary on September 14, 2021. No Republicans are running in the race. The two candidates who receive the most votes in the primary will advance to the general election on November 2, 2021.

Jones is a native of Brooklyn, New York, and moved to Cleveland as a child. He is closely linked to former President Barrack Obama, who he campaigned for during his 2012 Presidential election. He had a prior career in talk radio, performed as a rapper, and appeared as a guest on left-wing networks such as CNN and MSNBC.

Jones is a sharia-adherent Muslim who has ties to Islamic terrorist groups and subversive individuals trying to destroy America from within. He is an outspoken anti-American Islamic radical.

On January 3, 2016, Jones’ expressed his hatred of America and condemned imams who take part in the Pledge of Alliance:

RAIR Foundation USA has highlighted sharia-adherent Councilman Basheer Jones’ troubling connections, influences, and potentially illegal activities in the following report. We encourage readers to please report any additional information related to Councilman Jones to info@rairfoundation.com. We will update this article as more information comes to light.

Basheer Jones’ Controversies

Swearing-In Ceremony

Councilman Basheer Jones was elected to represent Ward 7 in November 2017, becoming the city’s first Muslim council representative. The controversial candidate won by a margin of 13 votes over incumbent Christian Councilman TJ Dow. Nearly 3,200 votes were cast in Basheer’s contentious council race.

At his 2018 swearing-in ceremony in the Cleveland City Chambers, Jones singled out the Muslims in attendance, asked them to stand, and led a chant that declared “Allah is greatest,” “Takbir.”

The phrase “Allah is greatest” is referred to as Takbir and is used in religious rituals and during the Islamic battle of conquest. Takbir was first known to be issued by Islam’s prophet Muhammad at the Battle of Badr on March 13th, 624 A.D. It is also featured on many Islamic national flags, including Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan.

He also thanked his dangerous spiritual leader Imam Abbas, a Sunni Muslim tied to the Muslim Brotherhood, during his ceremony. Abbas is an executive board member of the local chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). Imam Abbas takes credit for helping to raise Jones. He recently introduced Jones at his campaign kickoff announcement for the 2021 Clevland Mayoral election.

During a 2019 interview at the Muslim Brotherhood-tied ISNA-MAS convention with celebrity Imam Omar Suleiman, Jones bragged about his controversial Takbir chant, which flaunted his conquest of the Cleveland City Chambers.

As reported by Jihad Watch,

Imam Omar Suleiman, the founder and president of the Irving-based Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research, is perhaps the most celebrated Muslim cleric in Texas – if not the U.S. Suleiman has been a vocal advocate of Hamas proxies such as AMP, and he is featured on its website soliciting donations. He headlined a 2017 AMP rally in Washington D.C., before appearing one year later as a guest speaker at AMP’s annual conference.

Suleiman is also a vocal supporter of Black Lives Matter, and he has tweeted his support for violent Palestinian resistance. On July 14, 2014, he gave this prayer on Twitter:

“God willing on this blessed night as the 3rd Intifada begins, the beginning of the end of Zionism is here. May Allah help us overcome this monster, protect the innocent of the world, and accept the murdered as martyrs. ameen.”

On May 14, 2018, Suleiman posted a Facebook post in support of the Hamas-led Hamas-endorsed March of Return riots, claiming that Israel wanted to “kill off” Palestinians and encouraging resistance “by any means necessary.”

Jones’ encouraged Muslims at the terror-tied conference to financially support Imam Suleiman’s controversial Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research:

Jones, like antisemitic Suleiman, has made many anti-Israel and anti-Jewish statements. In 2014, Jones’ even scolded President Obama, one of his heroes, for daring to show his support to the Jewish state around Muslims,

Did Basheer Jone Fake His Residency?

The Cleveland mayoral contender has long been dogged by the allegations he doesn’t actually live in the city. According to a Clevland newsgroup, WKYC Studios, Jones told a news reporter that he lived in Cleveland, but his wife and children lived in South Euclid. Many other community members, including local news reporters, linked Jones to South Euclid and Cleveland Heights households. Ironically, Jones frequently stressed the importance of being from Cleveland and understanding the challenges residents face.

Four people filed a complaint with the elections board contesting the validity of Jones’ 2017 candidacy for the Ward 7 seat on Cleveland City Council. In the complaint filed with the elections board, Jones was accused of falsifying election records and voter fraud. Read their complaint letter below, along with some supporting documentation that accompanied the letter: click here.

Jones released two short videos that were supposed to clear up the controversy but instead, they only added further speculation,

Basheer Jones’ Campaign Finances and Expenditures

Jones had previously run against Councilman TJ Dow for the councilman position but lost by 600 votes. However, four years later, he raised an unprecedented amount of money to defeat his rival. Jones claims the majority of his money came from liberal Jews. However, this is far from certain as there has been much controversy surrounding who actually funds Jones.

While at a Muslim Brotherhood-tied conference in 2019, Jones expressed his anger over having to rely on Jews for campaign donations and not Muslims:

Basheer Jones’ 2020 campaign finance report raises numerous troubling issues, including potential violations of applicable laws. For example, among the many flagged irregularities identified by Sam Allard in Jones’ campaign, only two of the nearly seventy donors were identified by name as legally required. In addition, one of these anonymous donors contributed amounts that far exceed legally set maximum contributions:

One of the line items, however, was a $12,086 contribution made on Nov. 4. Regardless of the contributor, that far exceeds the maximum allowable contribution for Cleveland mayoral candidates. The cap was set by city council in 2016 at $5,000 for an individual and $7,500 for a political action committee.

Jones has also made several questionable campaign expenditures to “International Muslim organizations and figures, including expenses likely related to his travels in Egypt and the sponsorship of a Muslim orphanage there and a Quranic school in Senegal.”

When Allard questioned Jones’ campaign treasurer about the omission of donor names on Jones’ finance reports, she “pleaded ignorance and said she was working to update the report.

Below are some of the many troubling Jones’ expenditures called into question by Journalist Sam Allard:

Youssef Kromah and Basheer Jones in Egypt

  • In 2020, Jones’ campaign made several payments to individuals and LLCs for services they had not reported. Jones paid $1,000 to an Islamic studies teacher in Tampa, Fla., for “writing/content consulting.”
  • Jones gave $2,870 (in three payments) to WPM Group, whose services are described on LinkedIn as “landscaping, snow plowing, professional services, janitorial, property management, entertainment (promotions etc.), flagging co.” According to Allard, “these payments were all made in late October and November, shortly before Jones moved into a new house in Hough.” After Jones and WPM Group refused to answer questions about the money, they finally stated that Ebony Webster, the wife of the WPM’s CEO, is Jones’ new campaign manager, and the payments were for her services.

Basheer Jones Fights to Instill Sharia

During a controversial appearance on terror-tied Imam Suhaib Webb’s internet show, Jones expressed his devotion to sharia (Islamic law derived from the Quran and the hadith.) The mayoral candidate admitted to his mentor that he considers legislation in Ohio from the point of view of sharia and Quranic law, and not from the view of the United States constitution:

Councilman Jones has made it clear on several occasions that he ran for office to install the “Muslim agenda,” aka sharia.

In May 2021, Jones held Islamic prayers in a Cleveland park. The sharia-adherent event forced the Islamic women to take their place behind the men. Women are regarded as second-class status in Islam. Gender segregation in mosques and prayer spaces is customary in Islamic law and commanded by Islam’s holy books.

Subversive Marxist and Islamic Supremacist Groups Supporting Basheer Jones

Jones is closely connected to and supported by many Islamic and Black Supremacists groups and individuals. He works closely with several Muslim Brotherhood-tied supremacist groups in America and internationally, such as the Council on Islamic American Relations (CAIR), the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), the Muslim American Society (MAS) and Islamic Relief Worldwide.

Emgage Action, JetPac, and the Muslim Caucus of America endorse Jones. Both political organizations are aimed at helping sharia-adherent Muslims and left-wing individuals get elected in the U.S. elections. In addition, it’s been reported by Daniel Greenfield: “that Emgage is part of a network of Muslim Brotherhood organizations, and various figures in Emgage have connections to Islamic terrorist groups.”

Jones’ campaign is backed by the dangerous socialist organization, Our Revolution, which is closely tied to America’s largest Marxist organization, the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).

Basheer Jones’ Dangerous Islamic Mentors and Influencers

Black Panther Cop Killer Imam Jamil Al-Amin

Basheer Jones is an advocate and close friend of a convicted cop killer, Imam Jamil Al-Amin (H. Rap Brown). Jones has mentioned on several occasions that the former violent Black Panther leader, who is serving a life sentence in a federal supermax prison, is one of his mentors. Jones has even bragged that Imam Jamil Al-Amin, who was on the FBI’s most-wanted list for years, was the first to call him after winning his councilman position.

Imam Jamil Al-Amin (H. Rap Brown)

The Councilman held a three-hour Facebook live event advocating for the release of Imam Jamil Al-Amin:

The Imam has threatened, “If America don’t come around, we’re gonna’ burn it down.” He also stated, “The only politics in this country that’s relevant to black people today is the politics of revolution… none other.” The Black Panther cop killer also famously said, “Violence is as American as cherry pie.”

During a 2019 speech at the Muslim Brotherhood-tied ISNA-MAS convention, Jones praised Imam Jamil Al-Amin’s. The Mayoral candidate called on Muslims to respect violent radicals like the Imam,

We must stand for justice no matter what. But we have to understand and respect the foundation that we stand on here in America and we stand on the backs of people like Imam Jamil Al-Amin. We stand on the backs of people who came and fought on behalf of us to be Muslims in this country but if you don’t respect the black and brown those who stood up and fought for Islam to be here then the Muslims will continue to fall back we will continue to be where we are.

Nation of Islam

At the terror-tied conference, Jones praised dangerous anti-American Black Power Islamic movements and leaders for “setting the foundation of Islam” in America. The Councilman specifically thanked the Nation of Islam (NOI), Imam Warith Deen Mohammed (son of Elijah Muhammad, who was the leader of the NOI), and the Darul Islam Movement,

Darul Islam emphasized a literal translation of the Qur’an, strict adherence to the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad, and “the avoidance of assimilating non-Islamic influences”-all of which “translates into a sustained suspicion, if not hostility, toward American social, political, religious and educational institutions.”

The Nation of Islam is a dangerous U.S. Black nationalist organization founded in 1930 that has had a consistent record of consistent anti-Semitism and racism since its inception. According to the left-wing Anti-Defamation League:

Under Farrakhan, who has espoused and promoted anti-Semitism and racism throughout his 30-year tenure as NOI leader, the organization has used its programs, institutions, and media to disseminate its message of hate.

In recent years, Farrakhan has embarked on a wide-ranging anti-Jewish campaign, which has featured some of the most hateful speeches of his career. He has repeatedly alleged that the Jewish people were responsible for the slave trade as well as the 9/11 attacks, and that they continue conspire to control the government, the media, Hollywood, and various Black individuals and organizations.

Farrakhan also frequently denies that Jews have a legitimate claim to their religion and to the land of Israel, claiming that Judaism is nothing more than a “deceptive lie” and a “theological error” promoted by Jews to further their control over America’s economy and foreign and domestic policy.

Imam Suhaib Webb

Terror-tied Imam Suhaib Webb is one of Jones’ closest friends and advisors. The Councilman admits to seeking legislative advice from the radicalized anti-American Imam. Imam Webb has dismissed secularism as a “radical lunatic ideology.” He is also widely known for spewing hate and threats towards Jews, Ayan Hiris, and the LGBTQ community:

The former Imam of the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center. Jones makes regular appearances on Webb’s video programs. Imam Webb’s mosque was part of the same entity as the Islamic Society of Boston, where Boston Marathon bombers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev worshipped along with many others who have been implicated in terrorist and/or extremist activities and affiliations.

Webb, like Jones, has held fundraisers for a convicted Black Panther cop killer, Jamil al-Amin. Webb headlined the fundraiser with terrorist Anwar Awlaki,

FBI surveillance documents show that two days before the 9/11/2001 terrorist attacks, Suhaib Webb, Imam of ISB’s Boston mosque, joined al-Qaeda operative Anwar Awlaki in headlining a fundraiser on behalf of the Atlanta-based Muslim extremist Jamil al-Amin (formerly H. Rap Brown), who had recently murdered two police officers in Georgia.

At one of his sermons in Boston, Jones’ sharia-adherent mentor, Imam Webb, spouted hateful and threatening statements towards the LGBTQ community:

In June 2020, Basheer Jones discussed his deep love and admiration for Imam Webb in the following video clip,

Imam Suhaib Webb is one of my closest brothers somebody that I loved tremendously and his words mean a lot to me is his example means a lot to me and his pain is my pain his joy is my joy.

Malcolm X and Imam Siraj Wahhaj

The now-deceased radical Malcolm X. heavily influences Jones. The Councilman repeatedly praises the former Nation of Islam member in his speeches, music, and interviews. Malcolm X called for black separatism and urged blacks to combat racism “by any means necessary,” including violence. This controversial racist famously said, “History proves that the white man is a devil.” Furthermore, he was a vociferous antisemite.

Jones took part in a 10 city UK and Ireland Black Power Malcolm X Legacy propaganda tour. Islamic organizers, Sa’adah and Human Appeal International, billed the radical-tied event as a Charity Fundraising Tour to assist “Muslims in Syria, Burma, and East Jerusalem.”

Human Appeal International is an extreme Muslim organization that promotes pro-terror and anti-Semitic ideas. According to Gatestone:

A leaked 1996 CIA report claimed Human Appeal International’s branches were among a number of Islamic charities used as conduits for funds to terrorist organizations. The FBI, in 2003, claimed there was a “close relationship between Human Appeal International and Hamas.”

Basheer Jones shared the stage with the infamous radical Imam Siraj Wahhaj. Jones proudly introduced the Imam, who was named as a possible co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. He advocated for the replacement of the U.S. government with an Islamic Caliphate and supported violent Islamic jihad.

During a 1991 sermon at the Islamic Association of Northern Texas, Imam Wahhaj urged U.S. Muslims to become politically active as a means of augmenting the influence of their faith:

“I just want to say this. Brothers and sisters, in my opinion what the Muslims do in America will have a profound effect on Muslims everywhere on this earth. As long as you remember that if you get involved with politics, you have to be very careful that your leader is for Allah. You don’t get in politics because it’s the American thing to do. You get involved in politics because politics can be a weapon to use in the cause of Islam.”

This same year, Imam Wahaj and a young and an upcoming Basheer Jones took part in an “Eradicating Islamophobia Conference” in Florida. Jones also teamed up in 2016 with the radical Imam in Ohio to raise money for “African Relief.”

Basheer Jones Travels to Saudia Arabia

In 2015, Basheer Jones made a religious trip to Saudi Arabia. Jones visited Islamic mosques and holy sites where non-Muslims are not allowed to enter. During the same year, Jones visited the United Arab Emirates. See here, here, here, and here.

While in Saudia Arabia, Jones went to Mecca to visit Islam’s most sacred site, al-Kaaba. Only Muslims are allowed in the City of Mecca – non-Muslims may not enter or travel through Mecca. Attempting to enter Mecca as a non-Muslim can result in heavy penalties and will result in deportation.

Basheer Jones filmed himself inside the famous sharia-adherent Makkah Mosque. The mosque is also known as the Great Mosque of Mecca, and it surrounds the Kaaba in Mecca. Non-Muslims will be jailed if they are caught inside the mosque.

Jones also filmed himself visiting Medina in Saudi Arabia. Medina is considered by Muslims the second holiest city of Islam. Muhammad migrated to Medina from Mecca. During Muhammad’s famous journey, he first began to declare war on unbelievers:

According to Islamic tradition, when Muhammad migrated from Mecca to Medina, he wasn’t just “seeking the freedom for himself and his followers to worship.” He became at that point for the first time a political and military leader as well as a religious one. He began for the first time to get Qur’anic “revelations” exhorting Muslims to wage war against unbelievers.

Muslim Only Sign In Medina

It is unequivocal that throughout his career and political ascension, Basheer Jones’s actions and words demonstrate he does not support a pro-America agenda. On the contrary, Jones consistently fights to instill sharia and therefore undermines the United States constitution.
