Germany's Political Landscape Undergoes Conservative Transformation as AfD Party Surges in Support

Germany’s political landscape is undergoing a significant transformation as the conservative party Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) experiences a surge in support, reflecting a growing dissatisfaction among Germans with the policies pursued by left-wing, open-border leaders. Recent opinion polls indicate that AfD’s rise challenges the status quo and offers a national conservative alternative, emphasizing skepticism towards the European Union (EU), critical stances on Islam and climate change, and advocating for secure borders and controlled immigration.

Disillusionment with the ruling left-wing parties in Germany has deepened, with record-high support for AfD revealed through surveys conducted by various institutes, including the opinion institute INSA. Dissatisfaction arises from concerns over a perceived failed asylum policy, mass illegal migration, and the government’s approach to climate change and energy issues. With a mere fifth of Germans expressing satisfaction with the current government’s work, there is a widespread desire for change.

AfD’s growing popularity can be attributed to its clear and distinct political program, which resonates with disillusioned voters. These groups have employed extreme measures, including violence, to eliminate their only conservative political opposition. Antifa, a radical globalist organization supported by the left-wing government and media, has committed numerous criminal attacks against AfD institutions and members. The media’s sympathetic coverage of Antifa contrasts sharply with their portrayal of AfD as extremists.
