In the Urus-Martan district of Chechnya, 18-year-old Islamic terrorist Abdullak Anzorov, who beheaded school teacher Samuel Paty in France, was buried with honors. Residents in Anzorov’s village previously renamed a street in celebration of his jihad attack, with the caption: “Street named after a real man.”
As previously reported by RAIR Foundation USA, the Chechen refugee living in France decapitated Paty after he taught his annual course on freedom of expression. Paty’s course featured some of Charlie Hebdo cartoons of the Islamic prophet Mohammed. These same cartoons were the motivation behind the January 2015 Islamic terrorist attack killing 12 individuals at the the Paris offices of Charlie Hebdo.
The body of the Anzorov, who was shot dead by police, was brought from France to his village in Shalazhi yesterday. His relatives had his body transported via Turkey. Unlike Russia, France gives out the bodies of terrorists to relatives and allows them to be buried at home or in the cities where they lived or were killed.
The village was locked down after Anzorov’s body arrived. Authorities only allowed villagers who registered with them to attend the funeral. Around 200 people took part in honoring the terrorist while 65 police officers patrolled the area.
There were huge traffic jams in neighboring villages due to the large number of people wishing to attend the funeral. However, all entrances to the village were blocked by authorities.
Three video clips from his funeral were posted on telegram. On the recordings, people accompany Anzorov’s body, wrapped in green cloth.
The muslim leader of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has never denounced the beheading of Samuel Paty. Instead, the leader slammed French President Emmanuel Macron for inspiring terrorism by supporting cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad as protected by free speech rights. The leader wrote on his social media that it is Macron who “is starting to look like a terrorist” and the mastermind behind jihad terror in France,
“You are forcing people into terrorism, pushing people towards it, not leaving them any choice, creating the conditions for the growth of extremism in young people’s heads. You can safely call yourself the leader and mastermind of terrorism in your country.”
The The Mufti of Chechnya, Salah-Haji Mezhiyev, has called any French people who support Macron enemies who may have to “answer for the words of their president.”
Samuel Paty’s beheading has been followed by a wave of Islamic protests, threats, and jihad attacks in France and other countries.
