A revealing video recorded in the Netherlands features reactions from political figures to ongoing rampant antisemitism at pro-Hamas demonstrations. Journalists at Ongehoord Nederland (ON!) caught up with the politicians this week, in a video exclusively translated for RAIR Foundation USA.
Antisemitic violence has erupted across the globe, as reported at RAIR here, here, here, here, here, and here.
As would be expected, the leftist politicians were supportive of the protestors, while backing away from the antisemitic sentiment dominating the demonstrations. “I have heard that there were often calls that Palestine must be free, and I am a huge advocate of that,” said Turkish-born Dutch politician Tunahan Kuzu, but “…[N]ot everything being shouted was OK,” he continued.
An in-depth report at RAIR reveals that Tunahan Kuzu is no friend to the Netherlands. As a politician, he worked as an agent of the Islamic government of Turkey.
Leader of the Party for Freedom Geert Wilders had a different take, stating in part that the protests represented “hate against Israel and antisemitism and against the Jewish people, [while protestors were] supposedly standing up for the Palestinians.”
Jasper van Dijk of the Socialist Party was also sympathetic to the pro-Hamas protesters, but distanced himself from their actual words. The journalist pointed out that members of his party were at the protests. “So everyone has the right to demonstrate, anti-Semitism is reprehensible,” he said.
Dutch journalist and former Member of the European Parliament Derk Jan Eppink stressed that migrants “must realize that they must obey the law, And antisemitism is forbidden.”

Tunahan Kuzu
Mr. Kuzu, are you shocked at everything that was shouted on the street in Amsterdam last Sunday?
Look, I have heard that there were often calls that Palestine must be free, and I am a huge advocate of that. I have also received via a number of media organizations that some improper things were uttered, uh, that I wouldn’t say, and that I distance myself from and reject.
Geert Wilders
From Khaybar to calling for what I know are terms that make us think of the most frightening pogroms against Jews in the past.
Jasper van Dijk
Well, I have looked at that with concern, because not everything being shouted was OK.
Tunahan Kuzu
The battle cries to kill the Jewish race are, you know… How does that end up here?
You are better informed than I am, because last Saturday I was also at a demonstration. I have since heard via Twitter, via social media, that there were also a number of chants that I would absolutely not support, but what I mostly heard during the demonstrations was that there must be peace, that there must be resistance against apartheid, that there must be resistance against the occupation, and in this sense, I am against hateful, anti-Semitic chants that you will not catch me in, but when people go around the bend, I think that is absolutely [unintelligible].
Derk Jan Eppink
People who come here, they must realize that they must obey the law, And antisemitism is forbidden. Thus, if you do not comply, then you must be held accountable. That this is so striking, I find unacceptable.
Jasper van Dijk
Yet, Socialist Party members were there, for example?
Yes, surely not as a national party. Look, each person is free to go there, as far as we are concerned, and has the right to demonstrate, but we as SP, as a party, did not call for and have nothing to do with the demonstrations.
Geert Wilders
Amsterdam, Oslo, Stockholm, Brussels, Rome, Paris, London, Berlin, in all of Europe, we saw what has all come out of the recesses and corners from all neighborhoods and all the cities, and some people came with Palestinian, Turkish, and all kinds of flags, hate against Israel and antisemitism and against the Jewish people, supposedly standing up for the Palestinians.
Jasper van Dijk
Aside from the fact that everyone has the right to demonstrate, for sure, when it comes to something as violent as the war that is now taking place between Israel and Palestine…
Between Israel and Hamas.
—whereby Israel clearly is the dominant party —look at the number of dead victims on both sides.
When Ben Gurion became the prime minister, the first thing he did was to ensure a good defense and create the IDF.
Yes, good. So everyone has the right to demonstrate, anti-Semitism is reprehensible.
Geert Wilders
…Be awake and protect our civilization and stand up for our freedom.
We lost that. That is what this is. It is a much bigger problem than the Palestinian-Israel conflict. It is a conflict of civilizations, the result of mass immigration.
Against whoever is against our freedom, and we are losing.
