Before kick-off in Saturday’s Nations League game against Hungary in Budapest, the English soccer team took a knee for Black Lives Matter Marxists while Hungarian soccer players remained standing. The packed stadium of more than 30,000 young fans booed the left-wing English players.
Children in Hungary are educated in their schools about the oppression their relatives faced. Hungarians spent close to fifty years under Communist abuse and occupation; the Christian nation will no longer kneel to anyone but God.
The young Hungarian fans were in attendance to watch their team beat England in Budapest in the Nations League. This is not the first time that Hungarian fans booed England’s players. In September 2021, they were greeted by loud boos as they took a knee before their World Cup qualifier with Hungary.
Hungary Defends Their Children
Last year, Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that pressuring athletes to take the knee was ‘provocation’ and condemned the English team for kneeling.
‘If you’re a guest in a country, then understand its culture and do not provoke it,’ Orban said. ‘Do not provoke the host… We can only see this gesture system from our cultural vantage point as unintelligible, as a provocation.
‘The fans reacted the way those who are provoked usually react to provocation. They do not always choose the most elegant form (of reaction), but we have to understand their reasons… I agree with the fans.’
He added that he had no sympathy for ‘this kneeling business, and does not “think this has any place on the pitch. Sport is about other things.’
Zoltan Kovacs, Hungary’s Secretary of State for International Communication and Relations, dismissed those blaming children for making a political statement as ‘idiots,’ copying in the names of five journalists at the end of his message.
‘Anyone who thinks that children attending a football match in Budapest can be blamed for any kind of political statement is truly an idiot,’ the tweet said. ‘Congratulations to our national team, applause for the 35,000 kids.’
Hungary Will Not Bow to Marxists
Even more than most European nations, Hungary’s history has been a struggle for freedom. In the last century, Hungary has had to fight off the Islamic Ottoman Turks, the Nazis, Soviet communists, globalist bureaucrats, and their media. As a result, Hungarians are generally not fond of sacrificing themselves to invaders or Marxists aiming to change societal norms and customs.
Communists have injected their divisive left-wing political activism into sports arenas worldwide. Fans have grown tired of players flaunting their support of a dangerous Marxist organization. As reported previously at RAIR Foundation USA, BLM’s founders are tied to a Chinese Communist Party front group founded by former East Germany Communist Party leaders and Palestinian terrorist organizations. Video evidence proves China’s communist party is actively involved in the BLM organization.
PM Orbán has gone to great lengths to protect his nation from the threats posed by communists, open border globalists, and anti-Christian ideologies. Orbán has never wavered in his government’s primary task to preserve Hungary’s security and Christian culture.
