Remdesivir, sold as “Veklury” saw sales increase 98% from 2020 to 2021, netting $5.6 billion for Gilead Sciences. Remdesivir is ineffective against the coronavirus but is also dangerous, as reported at RAIR Foundation USA.
Despite the dangers, on January 21, 2022, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) expanded the use of remdesivir to include “certain non-hospitalized adults and pediatric patients for the treatment of mild-to-moderate COVID-19 disease.”
At $3,120 per patient, remdesivir is more expensive than known effective treatments for the coronavirus. Hospitals are incentivized to use the failed treatment remdesivir on coronavirus patients.
Notably, highly effective monoclonal antibodies have been seized by the Biden team.
History
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIH) wanted to throw their weight behind the failed Covid treatment. In April 2020, they released a study that showed that “the median time to recovery was 11 days for patients treated with remdesivir compared with 15 days for those who received placebo.” Dr. Anthony Fauci praised remdesivir as the “standard of care:”

But physicians decried remdesivir during Senator Ron Johnson’s panel discussion last month: COVID-19: A Second Opinion.
Dr. Paul Marik, a founder of Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC), disputes Fauci’s April 2020 statement, claiming that the remdesivir study initially examined an “8-point scale that included death and a requirement for mechanical ventilation.” But when it was shown that remdesivir was inadequate, “they invented a bogus endpoint called, ‘Time to Recovery.’”
Dr. Marik said in part:
Doctor Fauci sat in the Oval Office of the White House and he said the trial was good news. What Doctor Fauci did not tell you was that the primary endpoint of the study was changed halfway during the study. We all know that is scientific misconduct. Because the study was not going to be positive. They changed the primary endpoint.
In July 2020, Gilead claimed additional data showed that remdesivir “was associated with significantly improved clinical recovery and a 62 percent reduction in the risk of mortality” of “severe COVID-19 Patients”.
The analysis demonstrated that remdesivir treatment was associated with significantly improved clinical recovery and a 62 percent reduction in the risk of mortality compared to standard of care…
But that press release was based on observations alone and was not a vigorous study. Dr. Paul Marik addresses the Gilead findings versus “independent studies”:
So, if one does a meta-analysis looking at the studies of remdesivir, the two studies, which were sponsored by Gilead, show a reduction in mortality. However, if you look at the four independent studies, including the large study by the WHO, it shows the opposite effect.

My forth day recovering from the Chinese flu, doing everything the opposite from what the Bribden administration, and Fauci tell us, wife and son fully recovered in four days, son brought it home from school, today was my turn around day, stay away from the slab Jab,
It could just be the regular flu. I’m not convinced co I’d even exists.
Hi Renee, this will not be the first or even the tenth time regulators have thrown their weight behind an ineffective, downright dangerous (but expensive) drug when cheap, effective alternatives have been available.
Fortunately the COVID plandemic has made a lot of people aware of the corrupt relationship between the Big Pharma cartel, the medical professions and it seems, the academic and political communities.
These sectors have sacrificed trust and credibility, we can only hope many more people start taking responsibility themselves for health by eating better, getting more exercise and avoiding toxic drugs the side effects of which worse than the ailments they treat.
HI IAN! How wonderful to see you. Thank you for the comment. I have lost complete faith in all institutions. It is just tragic. You are right, the more I study, the more it is clear that corruption in the medical establishment is not a new problem.
Yeah, it’s been a while, Renee. After Gather I followed your Tavern thing for a while but couldn’t get fully involved as my wife’s declining health took up more and more of my time, and since she left this world late in 2019 first there was the investigation into how she died alone and unattended, in a hospital filled with state of the art equipment and trained medical professionals (the litigation is ongoing) and then we’ve had the whole COVID thing and I ran out of enthusiasm for writing about that after the first three months.
That seems to be waning now and I find I am regaining a little motivation. And of course the pandemic responses from governments, and the use of propaganda to scare / threaten people into compliance has exposed just how close the ‘democratic’ nations have come to oligarchic tyranny.
There is going to be plenty to write about in the coming years I fear.
Wow Ian, I am so sorry to hear about your wife. How terrible! I can’t imagine! And on top of the great loss, you feel as though she was not properly cared for – a slap in the face. I think there is a lot of that going around. People no longer trust the medical establishment (generally) and rightfully so after these last two years. My sincerest condolences.
