Vox Leader Santiago Abascal meets with Viktor Orbán to Address Europe's 'Migrant Invasion' (Video)

The president of Spain’s conservative party Vox, Santiago Abascal, visited Hungary to meet with Fidesz’s leader and Prime minister, Viktor Orbán, in Budapest. The two leaders came together to address Europe’s “migratory invasion.” Abascal was in Europe seeking knowledge and cooperation with other parties who believe that “protecting their borders is key for our future.”

“We patriots have to be united in the face of the multicultural policies of the European Union: massive and illegal immigration, the Islamization of Europe, and the abandonment of common roots,” explained Abascal.

Both Christian leaders are fighting to protect their country’s traditional European values from the threats posed by the European Union’s mass migration policies, multiculturalism, and globalism. Abascal and Orbán agreed that Europe needs national sovereignty, border protection, proper family policies, and respect for cultural roots.

Spain’s Borders Are Under Attack

Abascal made his respect for the Hungarian leader clear, “We are in Hungary to learn how to defend borders.” Furthermore, he highlighted the “admiration” he feels for the Hungarian Government and Fidesz, the party that supports him.

The Vox leader expressed his concern to Orbán about the migrant invasion in Ceuta and Melilla, where tens of thousands of illegals sent by Morocco continue to invade their shores. In 2015 and 2016, a similar episode occurred in Hungary when Turkey opened its borders and allowed a wave of illegals to storm the Greek coasts and Balkan routes.

The European Union (EU) forces its 27 member states to accept all asylum applications despite the country’s overwhelmed and financially depleted systems,

“Rejections are illegal. Not everyone has the right to asylum, but everyone has the right to be treated according to our values. When people apply for asylum in the EU, they appeal to European values. And we must honor that appeal.”

Those few migrants denied asylum are rarely deported and instead make their way to the other 26 European Union states. Spain’s Socialist-led government has been happy to oblige the EU’s rules. In contrast, the Hungarian government had refused to sacrifice their country by following the EU’s demands.

The objective of my trip to Hungary, Abascal said in an appearance before the media, is ” to deepen the bonds in the face of the debate on the future of Europe, with those parties which defend the sovereignty of nations in the federation of the European Union and with those parties who attend to the defense of our borders in the face of those who promote massive immigration.

Thus, Abascal has affirmed that Hungary has been an example “in the face of progressive ideological impositions by Brussels.” and “an example in defense of borders.” The leader recalled the “valiant way” with which they “acted in the face of international criticism, in the face of the media criticism, and the face of the criticism of the oligarchies of Brussels.”

Abascal referenced the migratory invasion in Ceuta and Melilla last week and asserted that “there has not been a political will” to stop mass immigration in Spain or Brussels. “And for this, we are in Hungary today to learn how to defend the borders with smaller fences but with a firm political will to protect national interests and defend sovereignty, and pursue the human trafficking mafias,” declared Abascal.

Population Replacement

As previously reported at RAIR Foundation USA, there are shocking demographic impacts from uncontrolled mass migration affecting European countries’ national and cultural identities. Migrants are being used by the left to dilute host cultures, ensure more votes, and seize power.

In a September 2020 Orbán speech, he warned that by 2050, “twenty percent of the European population will be Muslim due to Western Europe’s pursuit of multiculturalism and mass migration.” However, Orbán made it clear that Hungary would reject ‘the Soros Plan to resettle a foreign population.’

Orbán believes the most divisive and dangerous issue between conservatives and liberals is migration. In his powerful speech, the Prime Minister is one of the only leaders in Europe who speaks out about defending his country’s Christian identity.

Liberal and conservative politics also clash – and even engage in a life-or-death struggle – on the issue of migration. According to loopy liberals, there is no reason to fear mass immigration or even a flood of immigration; there is no reason to fear it even if the national and religious traditions of the uninvited guests are starkly different from indeed opposed to ours. We are told that terrorism, crime, anti-Semitism, and the emergence of parallel societies are only temporary irregularities, or perhaps the birth pangs of a radiant new world about to come into being. But the conservative-Christian democratic camp rejects such an unpredictable experiment on societies and individuals because they believe that the risks of chronic intercultural tensions and violence are unacceptably high. Unless we ignore the laws of mathematics, it is not difficult to see the reality of sure, slow but accelerating population replacement.

Family and Birth

Prime Minister Orbán views pro-family government policies as an alternative to solve demographic issues rather than mass migration. In 2011 Hungary adopted a pro-family constitution which stated that “We believe that our children and grandchildren will make Hungary great again,” and which defends “the institution of marriage as the union of a man and a woman… and the family as the basis of the nation’s survival.”

Among the many Hungarian pro-family policies has been a government grant of $33,000, which is initially styled as a loan but can be forgiven once a couple has at least three children. The Hungarian government also began offering free in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures for couples wanting children.

Abascal praised Hungary’s policies in favor of the family and the birth rate implemented by the Orban government and has remarked that they are an “example to follow” for the future of the continent.”

“Globalism presents us with the thesis that the only demographic salvation for Europe is massive and uncontrolled immigration. We believe that demographic suicide can be corrected with policies in favor of birth and family. And Hungary has already shown it, ”Abascal has sentenced.

Orbán’s Leadership

Orbán has been working to unify national-conservative political movements along with political leaders in Europe. Vox will be a strong ally as the party continues its meteoric rise in popularity within Spain. 

Orbán is a leader and example to conservative leaders like Santiago Abascal throughout Europe. He is one of the few brave leaders in the west who refuses to bow to political correctness. Orbán consistently addresses the uncomfortable facts about mass migration, Islam, population replacement, and leftism. The admired Fidesz leader has never wavered that the main task of his government is to preserve Hungary’s security and Christian culture.

First of all, it is an honour to be in Hungary together with [Family Minister] Katalin Novák, and to have been able to participate in a meeting as a guest of the Hungarian government, and to tell you, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, we are in Hungary because of the admiration that we feel for the Hungarian government, for Fidesz.



Precisely because we understand that it is a moment to deepen the bonds in the face of the debate on the future of Europe, with those parties who defend the sovereignty of nations in the federation of the European Union with those parties who attend to the defense of our borders in the face of those who promote massive immigration. 

The borders are the walls of our homeland, and have to be defended because they protect the identity, the liberty, the prosperity, and the heritage that we want to give to our children.



Hungary has been an example in the face of these progressive ideological impositions by Brussels.


It is an example of resistance, of affirmation of your own sovereignty, and we want to follow the example of Hungary in Spain.



And Hungary has also been an example of the defense of borders.



The valiant manner in which Hungary acted in the face of international criticism, in the face of the media criticism, in the face of the criticism of the oligarchies of Brussels in 2015, was decisive in stopping the avalanche of refugees and massive immigration in 2015. In Spain, we see that as an example.



Spain has natural borders such as the Mediterranean Sea and physical borders with higher fences in Ceuta and Melilla.



Nevertheless, there has not been the political will to stop illegal immigration.



We just received last week an immigration invasion of 10,000 people in just one day in a city that has only 8,000 inhabitants, Which has generated absolute chaos with the closure of businesses, with people who wouldn’t leave their homes and didn’t want to send their children to school because of thousands of people who were moving around the streets.



And all that has to do with a lax border policy, which is the border policy of Brussels, which is the border policy accepted by the Spanish government, which has produced the stated effect
during this entire time. 

And for this, we are in Hungary today to learn how to defend the borders with smaller fences but with a firm political will to protect national interests, and defend sovereignty, and pursue the human trafficking mafias.
